Adventist Health Mendocino Coast has a rich history in serving community members on the coast. Following a grass-roots effort to pass a hospital district initiative, Mendocino Coast District Hospital, was dedicated on June 26, 1971. Mendocino Coast District Hospital took its place as an important resource for the Fort Bragg community offering residents the peace of mind that comes from knowing emergency help is readily available and medical care often can be provided locally, keeping families together as much as possible. In July 2020, Mendocino Coast District Hospital joined the Adventist Health family.
Job Summary:
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate?s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT): Preferred
- Certification of Radiologic Technologists (CRT) in state of practice: Required
- Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred
- (RT): Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or RQIBLS: Required
- ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
- ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required
Essential Functions:
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
- Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
- Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
